The following educational requirements must be met by applicants for the RCFL Recruitment 2023.

Technician Trainee (Mechanical) a) A full-time, normal, three-year degree in mechanical or related engineering or technology and successful completion of a one-year apprenticeship programme (BOAT) as defined by the Apprentices Act of 1961 (Amendment 1973).

or b) Candidates with an HSC in Science who are admitted directly to the second or third semester of a three-year degree programme in mechanical engineering or a related field and who have successfully completed a year of apprenticeship training (BOAT) in accordance with the 1961 Apprentices Act (Amendment 1973) After passing the Diploma in Mechanical (or Allied Branches of Mechanical) Engineering or Technology, the one-year training (BOAT) must be completed.

OR

a) A full-time, regular, sandwich-style diploma programme in mechanical or allied fields of mechanical engineering or technology lasting 4 years (eight semesters) or 312 years (seven semesters).

Or b) Alternately, candidates with an HSC in Science may be given direct admission to the second year or third semester of a full-time, regular diploma programme in (mechanical/allied branches of mechanical) engineering or technology lasting 4 years (eight semesters) or 312 years (seven semesters) under the Sandwich pattern.

Technician Trainee (Electrical) a) A full-time, regular, three-year degree in electrical or related engineering or technology and successful execution of a one-year apprenticeship programme (BOAT) as defined by the Apprentices Act of 1961 (Amendment 1973).

 

or b) Candidates with an HSC in Science who are admitted directly to the second or third semester of a three-year programme leading to a regular diploma in (electrical or allied branches of) electrical engineering or technology after completing a year of training (BOAT) in accordance with the 1961 Apprentices Act (Amendment 1973).

 

OR

 

a) A full-time, regular, sandwich-style diploma programme in (electrical or allied disciplines of electrical) engineering or technology lasting 4 years (eight semesters) or 312 years (seven semesters).

 

or b) candidates with an HSC in science who are directly admitted to the second or third year of a full-time, normal, four-year programme (eight semesters) or a three-and-a-half-year programme (seven semesters) in electrical engineering or technology following the Sandwich pattern.

Technician Trainee (Instrumentation) a) A full-time, regular, three-year degree in electrical or related engineering or technology and successful completion of a one-year apprenticeship programme (BOAT) as defined by the Apprentices Act of 1961 (Amendment 1973).
